Sandusky Case Has Spawned Several New Laws

If any good has come of the child sexual abuse scandal at Penn State University, it's that it has finally opened the conversation about child sexual abuse on a national level. The Jerry Sandusky case has helped more people become vocal about their experiences – and has helped many victims of this crime finally seek the help they need.

In the wake of Sandusky's scandal, more than 100 bills related to requirements for reporting suspected child abuse and neglect have been introduced in 30 states. In 10 of those states, legislation has already been enacted.
